Empowering Teens

Empowering Teens, our reproductive health medical/educational program, enhances the natural resiliency and health of individuals by providing accurate information, teaching decision-making skills, and reinforcing responsible behaviors. Physicians and nurse practitioners see females and males for reproductive health issues, minor illnesses, and school physicals. Every client participates annually in one-to-one sexually transmitted infection (STI) and HIV/AIDS risk reduction counseling, and every client must attend an education session before initiating birth control. All pregnant clients receive counseling and education. Nurses and social workers provide outreach and health education in schools, churches and community groups for youth, their families, and community members. We also provide consultation to community agencies and professionals who work with teens.
