Labyrinth

Labyrinth, our youth development & counseling program, supports adolescents and their families during the years of transition to independence and adulthood.

Counseling Services

Our counseling component specializes in concerns such as relationships with family and friends, depression, anxiety, adjustment to parental divorce, and problems with school. Short and long term counseling is available. We offer a sliding fee scale base on income but nobody is turned away based on inability to pay.

Services Include:

  • Individuals, couples, and family counseling
  • Group therapy in school settings
  • Training, speaking and consultation for community groups and professionals
  • Guidance to help individuals uncover their vocational talents and strengths

For more information or to schedule an appointment call Toni Flaherty at 952-474-3251 ex. 26

Our social workers offer mental health education in schools and other community groups on topics such as healthy relationships, stress reduction, anxiety, depression, and body image. They also provide in-school group therapy. Our youth development component specifically targets youth who have been identified by school or clinic professionals as exhibiting risk behaviors such as drug and alcohol use, school absenteeism, risk of unintentional injury (e.g. drinking and driving), pregnancy risk, poor body image, disordered eating, and emotional stress. We provide a multi-week group education series in schools, one-to-one case management with a social worker and/or therapist and medical services to clients who are sexually active. These services help these high-risk youth understand life's challenges and responsibilities, develop personal strategies that lower risk-taking behaviors, and develop necessary skills to succeed as adults.
